This is the second pair of Sol shoes I have boughtand I will continue to buy them. They are really comfortable. I bought this “walking shoe”, the Rockport Marta, as I am about to embark on a two week trip to Europe. I have a very wide foot, which requires Double Wide widths in shoes. This is very hard to find in a walking shoe. I expected to have to wear them for a week or so to break them in after they arrived, so I wore them every day to work for a week. Wasn’t even necessary!! They were 100% comfortable for all day wear, day after day, from the moment I first put my feet in them. I am a Rockport convert now for sure, as I have bought other walking shoes for distance walking with thick padded soles, which work, but the Rockport Marta works without needing sole padding for my insteps.
I walk anywhere from 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 miles per day and the Rockport shoes are the only ones that I wear for that purpose. This particular model is lightweight and very comfortable. I found the shoe to be a little larger overall than advertised..also it is rather stiff…Had previously bought a Rockport shoe and thinking that it was similar to the one I had I ordered it online…The online experience was excellent..good rapid service, but the shoe was a bit of a let-down….Will keep looking for the same shoe I have…. This pair of Rockports is even better than the one I had prior to this. It felt good from the start, needed no “breaking in”, and served me well on our vacation in Florida. I will probably continue to buy Rockports for the comfort they give my feet. This shoe has a sleek, no frills style which is great on the job or the go afterwards for your busy errands afterwards. It’s great casual comfort in a modern style. This shoe well constructed but, It is so hot it makes my feet feel wet and I cannot wear them all day,It seems to stretch as I wear it during the day,so I have to change shoes,I bought it for comfort as I have a back problem, but it does not do as well as I expected This is the second pair of Martas I’ve bought in a year. I like this shoe because I have very wide feet and it comes in WW and fits perfectly. It’s good quality leather and has a low profile which I like for walking. I will probably buy this shoe again when my current pair wear out.
Although the size 10W is my true size, not all shoes in that size — including Rockport shoes — fit comfortably. My fingers and toes are both long, and I like a squared-off toe both in athletic shoes and in dress shoes. Many shoes pinch my toes, either from the side or from above by pressing down on the toenails, because the toebox tapers too much. I avoid shoes that do either one. As a result of a life of treating my feet mostly kind, at the age of 66 I do not have the misshapen feet of many older women. I am discarding a pair of Rockport ProWalkers in favor of the Martas, as the latter fortunately have a more generous and full toebox that does not taper as much, either in from the side or down from the top. I’ve worn Rockport shoes for several years now, and my most recent pair were showing signs of wear and not looking their best. So I figured it was time to freshen up my (clog) image a bit. I bought the Marta in black. They are very comfortable and the Marta does have a boxier toe, which is good for me as I have long bony toes! Would certainly recommend it for anyone who has to be on their feet a lot. I wear nothing but Rockports or Clarks. I love these Dansko clogs. I have heel spursand have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable. These are wonderful.I have also sent a friend to this site and she also bought the same shoes and she’s just as happy with them. I brought these shoes for my daughter who wears leg braces and I alway have a problem buying shoes because she need a very wide mules. The fit was perfect.
I’m in love with these sol shoes, My search for ultimate comfortable footwear started a year ago, and believe me I tried many dozens of styles from many different brands, I visited almost every outlet in my area to find the perfect one, as I have a little flat feet, so therefore I must have the maximum comfortable style. I did bought a pair which I found to be comfy but I felt pain under my feet after long walks. After I had given all the hopes a friend of mine suggested me to try out Danskos, I thought why not, I have given try to hell lot of pairs, why not this one. I went to the store put these on walking in for a while, and after that day I never want to put them off, they are super and extremely comfortable to wear and walk, however I still do feel little itchiness during fast walking, but I should not blame this shoe, as they are the best I could get, the inner sole is very well and comfortably manufactured. Whoever is reading this review, you must try this one.
