I have been wearing Merrell’s for the last 5 or so years and I have had only one pair that did not live up to its reputation. The Dansko Sela in tan goes with almost anything and is so comfortable I don’t want to take it off. Due to foot surgery, I’ve had trouble finding shoes that fit my ever-changing foot.Merrells work very well. I work in a classroom all day and I’m on my feet 8 hours out of 8 1/2 hours. This particular brand goes with classroom casual and feels great. The support can’t be matched and I’ve looked at every brand. I bought these for a quick sneaker alternative! They stay on your foot, the open back hugs your foot and doesn’t slip off while you walk. The soles are flexible, light, and mold to your foot. I bought the Sela sandals to replace a pair that I had worn for about four years and worn down the side of the heel. It is a great shoe, casual, comfortable and I hope they never stop making the style. I also have a pair in khaki and have just about worn them out also, ready to replace.Easy to take care of also, when dirty just take the insole out and throw in the wash then let dry. Great shoe and I would recommend them to anyone.

This shoe is perfect for me. I had surgery on both feet. This was the only shoe I could wear immediately after surgery. It’s lightweight and true to size. I recommend this shoe highly I bought the shoe for the mesh material to keep my feet cooler, which is working well. I use orthotics and I just wish the shoe was deeper from top to bottom of insole, but with socks maybe I can stretch them a bit. I recommend this shoe! Smart looking shoe as well. I bought them because I was having trouble with my feet and found them recommended by orthopedists. They are very comfortable and give my toes lots of room. My toes are not scrunched up and it gives me good arch support. I have plantar fasciitis and was having a terrible time at work as I am on my feet all day. My doctor suggested Crocs and I wore them daily for several months but thought I might like to try something a little more “stylish”. I’m not knocking the Crocs as I know they are “the shoe” for many people but one day in these Merrells and I haven’t had the Crocs on since! I have had a huge improvement in the foot pain that I was suffering from every day. For you Crocs wearers, don’t throw them out based on this review. I have tried dozens of brands that I could not wear-Crocs just being the latest one but I would most certainly try these Merrells regardless of what brand you are currently wearing-they are “the bomb!” I purchased for my wife. She says the Merrell encore breeze is one of the most comfortable shoes she has ever purchased (she has three pair). However, with the most recent purchase, she complains about the smell of the shoe. She says the smell comes from the rubber sole. Other than that she is well pleased with the purchase. I just purchased my second pair of these, and a pair for my sister for her birthday. They are like not wearing any shoes at all, but with fine support for walking. I like that they are slip on, but still have the right feel for serious walking. Also, I have received compliments on the look of the style. Trying them on the first time out of the box, they felt slightly small, but after one wearing, they are perfect.
